THE STAGE NJ STANDARD
Useful starts
with trust.
Stage NJ publishes a selective Bergen County guide. Verification is the gate: unresolved recommendations are withheld, not displayed as reader-ready leads.
OUR CHECKLIST
What verified means here.
Verification supports a recommendation; it is not a promise that a live event or travel condition cannot change.
Official first
We begin with the venue or presenter’s official event page, then use official ticketing, municipal, transit, parking, accessibility, or contact pages for supporting details.
Publish or hold
A recommendation appears only after its title, date, venue, and official source can be confirmed. An unresolved candidate stays off the reader-facing guide.
Missing stays missing
We do not fill gaps with guesses. Unpublished prices, addresses, transit directions, parking promises, or accessibility claims remain clearly unknown.
Source issues are named
If an official page contains a non-material inconsistency, we disclose it and route readers back to that page. A conflict that could spoil the plan is held back until resolved.
Freshness is visible
Published records carry a source-check date. Event status, availability, weather, schedules, and venue policies still need a final check before leaving.
Rights before images
If Stage NJ cannot document permission or a compatible license for an event image, the guide uses original Stage NJ category artwork. Original Stage NJ venue illustrations set the atmosphere; they do not depict the listed venue or event.
WHAT STAYS OFF THE GUIDE
Uncertainty is an editorial stop sign.
Research notes can contain possibilities. The public guide contains recommendations only after the essential facts clear the checks above.
- A title, date, time, or venue conflicts across official sources.
- Only a search result, social post, reseller, or aggregator supports the listing.
- A practical claim could not be traced to an official source or clearly labeled as unknown.
- An event image has no documented reuse permission or compatible license.
THE UPDATE LOOP
From candidate to checked recommendation.
- 1FindAn event or venue enters the private research queue.
- 2CheckStage NJ reviews the official event and practical planning sources.
- 3Publish or holdConfirmed records appear with a check date; unresolved ones stay out.
- 4RecheckMaterial changes are updated, disclosed, or removed from the guide.
